SOCIAL INCLUSION

Objective is to ensure equal opportunities for all, regardless of their background, so that they can achieve their full potential in life. 

Our interventions take a multi-dimensional approach, aimed at promoting social integration, social inclusion, social cohesion and social Participation.  

  • Increasing access for all to the economic resources, rights and services needed for effective participation in society.  Preventing and addressing exclusion, and reducing all forms of discrimination leading to exclusion.
  • Contributing to the active social inclusion of all, both by promoting participation in the labour market and by reducing poverty and exclusion.
  • Advocacy for implementation of social inclusion policies, coordinate the involvement of people experiencing poverty at all levels of decision making in close collaboration with governments and relevant actors.  
  • Ensuring that the needs and priorities of rural women, urban poor women, young women, people with disabilities, ethnic minorities, internally displaced and immigrants are efficiently and effectively mainstreamed into relevant public policies, including economic, budgetary, education and training policies and funded programmes. 
  • Increase labour market participation by expanding job creation opportunities  and ensuring a better linkage between social protection, education and lifelong learning;

  • Tackle disadvantages in education and training by investing more in eliminating child poverty, increasing the assistance given to their families and ensuring that their rights are protected, focusing particularly on the most disadvantaged groups. 

  • Improve access to quality services in the fields of health, social services, and the new information and communication technologies; 

  • Eliminate gender-based discrimination and increase the social integration of women, youth, elderly, people with disabilities, ethnic minorities, internally displaced and immigrants.
